this BJD faceup look was based on this doll here→ http://bit.ly/2tu38ep
this served as the basis for the entire look. she has reddish hair with bangs, small pearls and decorations underneath her eyes, a reddish waterline, and soft blush around the sides of her face. i tried to copy it while ensuring that it fit my own features.
for the eyebrows i wanted it to look like it was painted on, like you see in paintings or on actual ball jointed dolls. i've been experimenting with this a lot. by filling in the shape of it with a gradient eyeshadow effect and then only drawing sparse hairs at the middle to end parts of the eyebrows, it creates that effect. i've been looking at a lot of art lately...i feel like it's giving me that push to add more artistic elements to my makeup. i'll need to experiment more with this :3
then i just threw together some lolita-inspired accessories i had since i thought it would fit this makeup the best. and no i don't mean the book, really do not like the book at all, i mean the japanese fashion style.
i did a different technique for the gradient lips...it actually allows better control over the gradient which i like. i watched how kelseyanna fitzpatrick (one of kat von d beauty's amazing MUAs) did gradient lips in her video, and she likes to start with the outline first. i decided to do that as well, but used eyeshadow instead for a softer look.
you can check out her work here: https://www.instagram.com/kelseyannaf/?hl=en
would recommend checking her out fyi, her makeup looks are really cool...especially the lip makeup :3
hope you enjoyed this video! i'll see you next week!
