This week I went on a little solo adventure for my training hike of 4 whole hours! That's 4 straight hours of walking and it was tough!
I ended up walking on mostly roads and paths so it was pretty hard on the old knees. The pay off though? I managed to get myself to one of the most amazing sculptures in the North-West of England, The Dream.
The Dream is a sculpture by artist Jaume Plensa that is situated in St Helens. It sits all high and mighty on top of a very big hill and looks out over all of the northern countryside.
The Dream was the result of St Helens taking part in the Channel 4 show 'The Big Art Project'. It a sculpture of a meditating women, sitting calmly with her eyes closed and so what better way to train for a mental health charity trek!
*P.S. Yes, it really looks like that, I haven't squashed my footage or my thumbnail, weird right?!
