I know what you’re thinking… you did WHAT? She is only TWO (at the time)! And your right, but hear my thoughts for a moment. I was raised in the inner city, Washington, DC. Molded and cared for by two intelligent, loving but firm brown parents. Life was not terrible for us, we were very fortunate BUT I knew my journey would be very different from my European American friends (at school). As a brown female, I have experienced the things she will encountered and I know I can’t protect her from any of it, BUT I can prepare her for it… prepare her so she knows how to be resilient, tenacious and resourceful! But 2… was a little too early for her to experiencing being bullied by a “friend.” It sets the wrong example for friendship. I’m glad I said something to the mother (who is no longer in our lives, thankfully). I’m grateful for this life lesson, as a mom…

I pray that MORE parents, correct bullying (or any negative behavior) IMMEDIATELY! Behavior is learned and accepted! The problem (some of the time) and solution is at HOME! Don’t fail your child, don’t fail your neighbor! We need to make the next generation better than it was for us.

BTW- how stinking CUTE was papa bear and Zari on Saturday?! OMG the surprise at the door! my heart!! i smiled from ear to ear while filming and while editing this video! love them to pieces.. seriously lol! LOVE AND PEACE BEAUTIFUL SOULS SEE YOU NEXT FRIDAY FOR ANOTHER VLOG!

❤️Our 100% REAL LIFE PROMISE TO YOU:
It’s not always organized or clean over here (my office is almost never organized), and we have dog fur on our couch. Zari toys aren’t always put away and her stash is a little over the top, we know. I think it’s time to donate soon (which she gladly does often). I don’t always wear makeup and even when I do I still look tired LOL! We eat plant based with a focus on alkaline foods (Dr. Sebi teachings), but we do not label ourselves as vegan. We live in a much smaller house compared to our other home, so our home I quite cozy and a little full LOL. Despite the tightness, we are blessed and thankful to have a roof over our head. You will see sand a lot, and that’s because we live on an army base in a remote part of the southern California desert. You will not see our families a lot… they live on the east coast. We aren’t perfect, and I won’t try to pretend like we are, but that’s the beauty of life! We look different, think different, live different… imagine if a bunch of different people were friends! We could all learn from one another… learn different cultures and, ideologies… we could “end” stereotyping then work side by side to make this world a better place! *I’m such a hopeful person* *I believe we can do better and we will do better*
