❤️ MY VLOG BLOG ❤️
Quick background information, I started making dollar tree videos over 3 years ago, when we lived in Texas (Zari was a newborn). Dollar Tree stores were everywhere, which was perfect because I had to stock up on DIY supplies before moving to the desert! Here (in the desert) we drive 45 minutes to 1 hour + just to go to Dollar Tree and film….the travel time… the lack of resources, while far away from home with a toddler… Zari’s decreasing interest and restlessness while filming in store, paired with my lack of fulfillment, leaves me questioning the intent of my channel (which is Dollar Tree shopping/ hauls/ hacks/ DIYS).
I cut out A LOT from this video (the beginning part with me talking to you)… I knew most people wouldn’t care to hear me BLAB lol. But if you care, I’ll share more of the WHY… #1 Zari might appear to be happy on camera in that cart, but I’m only capturing tiny of clips of her. Within the last few months, she has become tired of these shopping vlogs. I don’t blame her! It’s boring from her angle. #2 The Dollar Trees (the ones I GO TO), lack of bathroom accessibility and this is absolutely ridiculous! I have to buy something from another store just to use the restroom, then head to dollar tree, and once we leave I go to another store to do the same thing! RIDICULOUS! I am aware of car potties, etc. #3 I was SO SCARED TO TAKE THIS RISK, to make this video and finally MAKE a decision, BUT I truly believe that taking this risk and “losing” majority of my viewers is worth it! I will lose them, but GAIN even more and this time they will watch because of me and my family, and not because of a store. Knowing and believing all of this (with ALL my heart) lead me to “start over” on YouTube.
This channel is more, than just a place to share what I bought, how to make stuff and what’s new in store. It’s a place to show challenges, solutions, show real emotion… it’s a place to share advice… a community where you can laugh and cry… And for us, it’s a diary… a journal! As we capture precious moments, and the trials we face and conquer together!
LOVE and PEACE to everyone reading this! We’ll see you Tuesday with another VLOG.
❤️Our 100% REAL LIFE PROMISE TO YOU:
It’s not always organized or clean over here (my office is almost never organized), and we have dog fur on our couch. Zari toys aren’t always put away and her stash is a little over the top, we know. I think it’s time to donate soon (which she gladly does often). I don’t always wear makeup and even when I do I still look tired LOL! We eat plant based with a focus on alkaline foods (Dr. Sebi teachings), but we do not label ourselves as vegan. We live in a much smaller house compared to our other home, so our home I quite cozy and a little full LOL. Despite the tightness, we are blessed and thankful to have a roof over our head. You will see sand a lot, and that’s because we live on an army base in a remote part of the southern California desert. You will not see our families a lot… they live on the east coast. We aren’t perfect, and I won’t try to pretend like we are, but that’s the beauty of life! We look different, think different, live different… imagine if a bunch of different people were friends! We could all learn from one another… learn different cultures and, ideologies… we could “end” stereotyping then work side by side to make this world a better place! *I’m such a hopeful person* *I believe we can do better and we will do better*
