Keto Diet: My Experience with the Keto Lifestyle

Today I'm sharing my experiences with the keto diet and maintaining a low carb low sugar high fat medium protein diet. While the keto lifestyle isn't for everyone, it's working well for me. Yes, I tried eating vegan for several years and it was not healthy for me. My blood work and Framingham Risk Score show how I've changed from being unhealthy to healthy. I did not lose weight fast on keto and I think that is partially because of my past eating issues. It took me 3 weeks before I saw any weight loss and since then I have been slowly and steadily losing weight. I'm no longer eating strict keto, but I do strive for low carb low sugar daily. I did flex at the holiday so I could eat pierogies, too. Whenever I have something that is carb heavy for me, I make sure to eat cleaner afterwards.
