Hanumanasana Splits yoga class India

6 weeks ago I took a giant leap of faith and moved to India to further my yoga studies and to live yoga in the mother land India. Already I have learnt so much and grown from my experiences here. India has taught me a few lessons. I have been teaching yoga, and exploring the many other styles and teachings of yoga whilst here. Today is the new moon in scorpio lighting up my 10th house of career and public image. So keeping to my manifestation of sharing my teaching of yoga I have filmed a hamstring, hip and back opening vinyasa class. Slips in sanskrit is hanumanasana the hindu monkey god asana (pose).

This pose then, in which the legs are split forward and back, mimics Hanuman's famous leap from the southern tip of India to the island of Sri Lanka.

It doesn't mean to get your hips on the floor more like taking a giant leap of faith. Our facia in the hip area holds emotional memory and so can be emotional as well as difficult to open this area of the body as the body will protect its self.

These past few weeks have been teaching me to take a leap of faith and trust in the ever changing journey of life. My biggest lesson so far is "not all yogis and yogi" and to not allow one bad experience of person determine my experience.
