HELPFUL TIPS:
* I prefer hot glue for all my crafts, BUT it will not last for most plastic and metal projects. If you’re not crafting for fun like me, extend the life of your DIYS by using industrial strength glue.
* If using the hot glue dispenser to flatten the top, USE CAUTION!! The nozzle is extremely HOT
* You can use a clothing iron on the rough plastic edges, for a smooth finish
* Buy the S hooks from Dollar Tree, during the spring season, they are hard to find otherwise
* Use any fabric for the dress, like an old tshirt, dollar tree pillowcase or dollar tree glam fur!
* glue the plate where the neck use to be. This area should be completely flat, not raised.
* Using a glass plate and/or bowl might be too heavy for this frame
* Go to Hobby lobby (or check Amazon, Etsy, etc) and buy in bulk for gems, beads and pearls! Buying at Dollar Tree isn’t always the cheapest option. MATERIALS (From Dollar Tree, see exceptions):
Mermaid doll
Plastic bottle
Something sharp to cut
Hot glue or other
Hot glue dispenser
Tutu
Plastic play plate
Small clear plastic bowl
Gems (from Dollar tree and bulk buying)
Pearls (from Dollar tree and bulk buying)
Rocks to fill, or use marbles
(1) 2pk of “S” hooks
