HELPFUL TIPS:
* I prefer hot glue for all my crafts, BUT it will not last for most plastic and metal projects. If you’re not crafting for fun like me, extend the life of your DIYS by using industrial strength glue.
*DIY #1: Use a heart template if you’re a perfectionist! I added mod podge on top to seal the glitter. The stick helped me paint with ease
*DIY #2: to connect each heart, I found it easier to cut the 2” pieces. This string is stretchy so keep that in mind. I sandwich the pom poms for maximum hold. The 12” side pieces were created to hang the garland.
*DIY #3:I used a heart plastic ring (gem) as a heart template. Add glue to the lid sticker to prevent lifting. Instead of toys, you can add candy!

* Go to Hobby lobby Joann Fabrics, or check Amazon, Etsy, and buy in bulk for gems, trim, beads and pearls! Buying at Dollar Tree isn’t always the cheapest option. I bought 1 pound of gems and pearls for $8 when they were 50% off and I paid $7 for of gems at joann when they were 70% off. Large and small Gems (dollar tree and bulk, see note above)
Wax paper
Cardboard
Mermaid doll
Diamond wrap
Pink glitter (micheals or hobby lobby)
Mod podge
1 pack of heart bracelet
Colorful string
Colorful beads
Colorful pom poms
Glitter foam sheet
Heart template (gem ring)
Faux acrylic container
