1. Don’t - Use Powder formulas since they absorb oils from the skin and make it dry.
Do - Use cream based Formulas instead

2. Don’t use alcohol based toners and make-up removers. They dry out the skin further by stripping the skin’s natural moisturizing lipids and proteins.
Do - Use non alcohol based toners, simple rose water works too. For make-up remover, you can of course use coconut or olive oil.

3. Don’t use too much razor, or hair removal creams. They make skin itchy and really dry, plus during winters the skin takes much longer to heal after the process.
Do - Go for a waxing session instead. Wax also moisturizes the skin.

4. Don’t apply moisturiser immediately after shower, without drying the skin properly. If your skin is not completely dry, the lotion will not get properly absorbed. Also, under the heavy layers of clothing, this can lead to body odor.
Do - Dry the skin well and then apply your body lotions

5. Don’t - Over use the moisturisers. Using moisturisers in excess prevents your skin to stop producing natural oils, thus making it naturally more and more dry.
Do - use a fair amount of moisturising agents that can last for 24 hours. Observe if your skin needs more or less. In 2-3 uses you will be able to figure out a moisturizing routine that works best for you.
