A quick demo of The Makeup Light Key Panel 2.0.
It can be purchased at Frends, Camera Ready, Nigel’s, Naimies, Norcostco, and Alcone as well as at The Makeup Light’s own website.
Disclosure: I purchased when during a pre-sale of the gold panel in 2016 or 2017, however, I am friends with the owner of TML along with his wife so some might find my opinion to be bias. I’ve continued to share my love my Key Panel since I find it to be near perfect artificial light that’s not blinding, clean, bright, and just as close to perfect as artificial light can be for makeup application.
Retail cost:
https://themakeuplight.com/collections/key-light-kits
Panel alone - $290
Panel w/suction cup & quick release (the one I have) - $330
Panel w/clamp & quick release - $345
Panel pro kit (single panel) - $490
Eyelight Magic Kit - $299 (same price as the panel alone).
If purchased at a trade show it’s pro pricing plus typically they don’t charge tax at trade shows.
If purchased at TML or Camera Ready a person can make payments. Other vendors may or may not offer payments.
Specs:
5000 kelvins (color temp)
2000 lumens (how bright it is)
5 foot projection
95+ CRI (Glamcor & standard light bulbs are 80+. It means on a scale of 0-100 how close to natural daylight it is)
Can be used in a majority of countries as the plug comes with interchangeable prongs.
If purchasing for personal use OR blogging I suggest the Eyelight over the Key Panel.
