HELPFUL TIPS:
* I prefer hot glue for all my crafts, BUT it will not last for most plastic and metal projects. If you’re not crafting for fun like me, extend the life of your DIYS by using industrial strength glue.
*USE CAUTION if you use the wood burning tool.
* For some reason the hot glue INSTANTLY dried on top of the paint, so move in sections and quickly.
*Different jar heights work best for these DIYS
*If your lids has two parts, glue them together before spray painting
* I did 3 coats of paint
* I used a small pair of plier to further the opening on the 3rd lid

* Go to Hobby lobby, Walmart, Joann Fabrics, or check Amazon, Etsy, and buy in bulk for gems, trim, beads and pearls! Buying at Dollar Tree isn’t always the cheapest option. I bought 1 pound of gems and pearls for $8 when they were 50% off and I paid $7 for of gems at joann when they were 70% off. MATERIALS (From Dollar Tree, see exceptions):
Something sharp to cut with
Hot glue or other
3 Recycled glass jars with lids
Dollar tree trophy party favor
Dollar Tree small plastic bowl
Plastic and metal friendly spray paint
Wood burning tool (optional)
Large acrylic gems (70% at JoAnns/ 1 pound pack= $6)
Crystal Rhinestone trim, color AB (amazon, 2.5mm 10 yards for $8)
5 row crystal trim by the yard (hobby lobby, %50 off when on sale)
Square Rhinestone Diamond wrap ( 99 cents only store, $.99 for 71”)
Lighter
Square gemstone stickers (Walmart, $.97)
Bulk gems (see note below)
