HELPFUL TIPS:
* I prefer hot glue for all my crafts, BUT it will not last for most plastic and metal projects. If you’re not crafting for fun like me, extend the life of your DIYS by using industrial strength glue.
*For DIY #1, I used firm paper on the inside of the trim. The trim will not fit around the clear tray, it will sit slightly under it.
For DIY #2, be careful with the hot glue. I added too much on the backside, and on the front side, it left a heat mark on the silver trim.
For DIY #3, if you have gaps, the illusion will be lost. Projects like this are not meant to be “real” crystal, its’ an illusion, so please keep that in mind :)
* Go to Hobby lobby Joann Fabrics, or check Amazon, Etsy, and buy in bulk for gems, trim, beads and pearls! Buying at Dollar Tree isn’t always the cheapest option. I bought 1 pound of gems and pearls for $8 when they were 50% off and I paid $7 for of gems at joann when they were 70% off. Something sharp to cut with
Hot glue or other
Cardboard
Paper clips
Large silver platter tray
Clear serving tray
Round mirror
3 packs of mini silver spoons
Ruler
Gems (dollar tree and bulk, see note above)
Foil
Salad plate with sliver trim
Circle candle holder
Scrapper
Garden fence
Silver spray paint (plastic friendly from Micheals)
Magnetic mirror
Poster board
Circle template 8”
Something to write with
4 or 5 packs of mini silver bows
