Just to clairfy, I hated using dating apps in Montreal because I was looking for a potential relationship to no avail. Maybe I didn't have the best approach, but I definitely tried to stay as open as possible to all possibilities. However, regardless of what kinds of guys I was meeting - tall, thin, built, smart, witty, fit, whatever .. I was rarely interested, and more than half the time, the feeling was mutual.

When I used apps while travelling, there was a different vibe completely. Most people aren't looking for potential - but really just someone to spent time with. Yes, of course, you have to dodge the guys who only want to hookup, but that's the usual deal. It's a lot more laid back and comfortable.
