Testing the Designer Brands Luminous Hydrating Foundation for redness coverage, long-wear ability and SHINE FACTOR! I managed to test this foundation for over 12 hours on my combination skin. WARNING: NOT FOR OILY SKIN TYPES!!
Hey guys!
This is the first time I've tested a 'luminous' foundation. I've aways gone with matte foundations, because my skin has always been oily! And even while being on Accutane, I have stuck by foundations that mattify me.
However, this one is NOT THAT. This is definitely a luminous, hydrating foundation. This aims to give more of a glow to the skin, and allow your skin to shine through the foundation. That may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's nice to have a change! Here's more information from their website:
Designer Brands Luminous Hydrating Foundation ($19.99 AUD)
https://www.dbcosmetics.com.au/vegan-luminous-foundation
Naturally radiant and hydrated skin in one simple step.
Gel like formula, Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Vitamins A, C & E
Looks like second skin, never cakey, flakey or heavy
Uses light reflecting pigments to illuminate your features
Designed to subtly illuminate your features, the DB Luminous Hydrating foundation is perfect for creating a naturally radiant and dewy complexion. Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Green Tea and Vitamins A, C & E, the DB Luminous Hydrating Foundation nourishes the skin, while adding instant hydration and evening the skin tone. The gel like formula blends with ease and can be built up from medium-to-full coverage if you want to take your look from day to night. Suitable for all skin types, in particular sensitive/dry skin as the dewy formula will not clog pores or cling to dry areas. Free of talcs, bismuth and parabens. CCF and Vegan Certified.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting a more glowy look to their skin. It has great staying-power, covers redness really well, and looks good! But don't even try it if you have oily skin. I would also suggest setting it, because without setting powder, it looks VERY GLOSSY.
It would be ideal for those of you with dry skin, or combination skin.
Thanks for watching, please throw this vid a like if you enjoyed it, and I'll catch you next Thursday!
Xx Jess

A little about me:
I’m an Australian “beauty guru”, blessed with severe hormonal acne. FUN! For more than 15 years, I’ve suffered from acne, and tried just about everything on the market to fight it. Natural remedies, creams, treatments, lights, lasers, pills… ugh! Through my channel, I hope to share with you what I’ve learned over these many challenging years, so you know you’re not alone. As a side-note, I’m also vegan! But I won’t be throwing that in your face. If you like what you see here, please consider showing your support by subscribing and checking out my various socials.
