hullo everyone ʕ ᵔᴥᵔ ʔ today's video is a mermaid makeup transformation! i mostly used eyeshadows from the anastasia beverly hills SUBCULTURE palette for this...yup you heard that right...you'll see much more from this palette soon on my channel.
this was heavily inspired by the art of lalasdreambox, based on this image here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BZEBImYghoY/?taken-by=lalasdreambox
i created this mermaid makeup look for a contest being held by her...I would die if i won but idk if my chances are too good. fingers crossed tho!
the headpiece is made out of cardstock, which i painted with watered down acrylic paints. i posted the entire process of how i made it (with pictures) on my patreon page, so if you're curious about it, you can find out there ^_^

for this shironuri makeup look, i basically recreated the art from lalasdreambox's MARS artwork onto my face. for the fake eye, i experimented here and used an eye made out of cardstock and acrylic paint.
the biggest reason for this is because i'm nearsighted and there's no way i could record that on camera. i would have my mirror a millimeter away from my face and it would block my face the entire time lol. but this turned out to be a successful experiment as i think it works pretty well, and is a good alternative for people who may struggle with creating detailed face painting or makeup on their face.
as you can see, most of the transformation was reliant on the headpiece. it was fun to make! i oughta make more headpieces like this ^_^
hope you enjoyed this shironuri mermaid makeup transformation inspired by lalasdreambox!
