Today is another episode of #throwbackThursday and we're going to the 60's. Flower power baby! In all seriousness, I grabbed a blonde wig and a flower crown and did a natural version a hippie makeup. From my scouring of the internet, flower child makeup was more about self expression than making some kind of statement. Some hippies of the time loved full on glam, while others went au natural, poting for some body paint instead. Well.. we know how I feel about body paint lmao. I do plan on going back to the 60's at some point, but for now let's give the 60's flower child her moment in the spotlight.

For the modern day version, I ditched the body paint :'(. I did however keep the natural no makeup makeup aspects of the Hippie makeup. Today, in the US at least, bronzer and contouring is definitely a thing. I decided to keep it more on the natural side, just contouring a tiny bit, and playing up the bronzer to give me a sun-kissed glow. If I actually spent some time outside, maybe I wouldn't need bronzer to be sun-kissed lol. Like I said, the original inspiratin for this was the 60's flower child, so keep everything well blended and light handed. I did however use a red lipbalm just to give me some color, because let's be real, I wanted something to pop a bit more.
