hullo! today's video is a simple DIY visual kei eye patch tutorial! it's a really easy and fun way to jazz up a boring black pirate eye patch :3 i used this in a pirate makeup shironuri look heavily inspired by visual kei and Malice Mizer. read below for more info!

█ ITEMS YOU'LL NEED █

● blank black pirate eye patch
● white lace stickers
● scissors
● super glue
● assortment of small, medium, and large pearl rhinestones

you can buy all of these at any local craft store or online.

█ INSTRUCTIONS █

it's pretty simple to make this visual key eye patch.

1) apply lace stickers along the sides of the eye patch, working clockwise. trim off any excess from the edges. some of the lace stickers can overlap, just as long as it's not a lot of them overlapping (otherwise it won't stick down properly). the goal is to cover the entire eye patch with lace.

2) lift up the edges of the lace and apply super glue below it. Press it down. usually the stickers lift up from the edges of the eye patch, so this helps keep it in place.

make sure to work in a well-ventilated area for this step as super glue can release fumes (and you don't really want to breathe that in).

3) apply dots of superglue around the patterns of the lace. then, after it gets tacky, apply an assortment of small, medium, and large rhinestones. so I'm not just putting these on randomly, I'm sort of outlining the lace patterns with the rhinestones. i'm also not putting them on all over the lace. just do it here and there for a nice accent :3
