It's a tough market so sometimes you just have to understand the psychology of the marketplace in order to get an edge. As I mention in the video these tips are really for people who are already qualified for their Dream Job they just can't seem to convert their application to a job offer. Believe me I get how frustrating that is, I spent a year of my life unemployed trying to figure this out.

A tip I have for you that I didn't mention in the video but that was really obvious is that you miss out on all the opportunities you don't go after. You have to have confidence in your abilities to apply for that job to begin with and then if you apply in the most optimized way you'll have a true shot.

Funny story is that I almost didn't apply to the job I have now that is finally on my Dream Job career path. I had been rejected and rejected for a year straight for jobs I didn't really want but needed because I had no money. Not even no money but negative amounts of money. I was feeling the pressure like you wouldn't believe. I thought to myself you can't be choosey right now Michelle you have to just get whatever job so you can pay your bills. In that mode I found my Dream Job staring me in the face one night as I searched ads. I read the description, I read the requirements and then decided that I wasn't qualified. The job was in social media marketing and all I had was my passion and my 7 years of YouTube to qualify me. I thought for sure no business would see what I'd done on my own as legit. So I decided at 10 pm not to apply. The application was due the next day so if I wanted to apply I only had till midnight to get it all in anyways. Around 10:30 pm I changed my mind, worked hard using all the tips I gave you in this video and I submitted my application a few minutes after midnight hoping I'd done a good enough job that they'd see past my slightly late application. I was right. Within 2 days I got a call for my first interview. A week later my second interview and after that a job offer for in my Dream Job I never thought I'd get in a million years.
