*** My HISTORY: The summer of 2015, I decided to eat a plant based vegan diet, in order to “heal” fibromyalgia, a chronic illness. Along the journey, I learned some amazing things about veganism, and its impact on my health and the world. In short, I was able to stop taking the medication I was prescribed, but I had to continue eating low to no oil, diary and meat free, high carbohydrate diet. Many family members and friends disagreed, and worried that I would gain weight and become sicker. Within TEN days, I lost weight AND felt better. Everyday, life became easier for me, and I was able to enjoy the people around me once again! I am NOT trying to persuade you to become vegan, because i am not. I merely want to inspire you, and show, through my actions, that life can be better if you are battling with a chronic illness, or need to loose weight. The book that save my life is the Starch Solution by Dr. John McDougall (this is not sponsored and I was not paid for say that).
In this Cooking Ideas! Plant Based Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner video, for breakfast I had a classic berry oatmeal with maple syrup on top! A quick cooking ideas tip - don't be afraid to use instant oatmeal or instant steel cut oats (for a harder and more nutritious meal). I didn't show this, but I started my day with 12 oz of water. Depending on how my body feels, I will have a cup of coffee with my oatmeal. If your into this Cooking Ideas! In addition to the oh so simple oatmeal, I made hash browns for lunch. I’m sure you couldn't believe I had has browns for lunch, when you were watching this cooking ideas video! Trust me, you can have hash browns for lunch and its full of flavor! In this Cooking Ideas! Plant Based Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner video, i used shredded potatoes without oil, they have 0 grams of fat and i didn't add oil to the pan. I added a dash of each seasonings, let one side brown then flip and repeat. Topped it with corn relish, tomatoes, avocado, and if I made tofu sour cream, it would be on there too! For my breakfast part 2 / snack I made a green smoothie that I shared in my previous Cooking Ideas video (the link is above). For another snack i had salt and vinegar kettle chips, because I wanted to :)
My dinner in this Cooking Ideas! Plant Based Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included a plant based beef meat sauce, brown rice pasta and broccoli! Here is another cooking ideas tip - to cut fat by 70% try these Gardein beef crumbles (not sponsored) vs traditional meat! I love sharing how to cut fat and NOT compromise the taste! I heated the sauce and added the crumbles during the last 5 minutes, and finished by tossing in the pasta.

Eating a diet filled with whole plants, low in fat and with simple ingredients, took me from a dark place of depression, lethargy, pain, anger and lots of ugliness, to a brighter, pain free, fabulous looking body, lots of energy and a better attitude towards life state!
