// How To Repair Dry Damaged Hair:
In this video I finally share with you how I repaired my really dry damaged hair using natural and healthy products. My hair was damaged by over processing my hair with bleach and hair color. Ultimately my hair broke and was extremely dry. I had so much frizz due to the broken hairs, I decided I needed serious help. I started looking at a lot of hair repair products and tips that would help me get back on healthy hair track. After trying various products and method, I have found many products and tips that helped my fine damaged hair get back it's luster. Now my hair is much smoother, has more shine and much more healthier. Here are the products and methods I used to get there:
1. Proper hair shampoo and conditioner
I have found a great shampoo and conditioner made by Mixnature. Not only is it healthy and eco-freindly, you get to be your own chemist and it is made fresh when you order it. I love my Oribe Gold Lust Repair shampoo and conditioner, but it's so pricey I only use it on special occasions haha. The last shampoo and conditioner that I always use a purple shampoo because I have blonde pieces in my hair and I don't want my hair to get too brassy.
2. Hair Masks and deep hair conditioners
Hair masks and deep conditioner are the second line of defense against hair damage. There are a lot of great products out there; some of my favorite are coconut oil, castor oil, Briogio deep conditioner and Mixnature deep conditioning masks.
3. Reparative Intensive hair treatment
Reparative intensive hair treatment is not a conditioner it is a reparative system for your hair. Olaplex is one the best products I have tried and it really does wonders to everyone's hair. It's incredible.
4. Hair styling products
After shampoo and conditioning, I will always add a leave-in conditioner and heat protectant because I use heat in my hair. For example some of my favorites include Pureology Colour Fanatic and Briogeo Heat protectant.
5. Hair styling tools
Whenever I use heat tools, I always make sure to keep the heat at a medium setting so I don't damage my hair even further. I really appreciate when heat tools like curling irons have custom heat settings because I can control the amount of heat I put directly on my hair. I always keep it below 350 F.
6. Vitamins
Vitamins such as biotin, Vitamin A,B,C,E are amazing for hair, skin and nails!
7. Pillow cases
Yes, we spend a lot of time on the pillow cases, which can really break and damage your hair. By simply purchasing a silk pillow case will not only help your hair life, it will help your skin life as well. Double win!
