Trying something new! I've never done a hair tutorial but I wanted to try it out! I got a lot of compliments on this mermaid braid from a previous video and an instagram post so I wanted to show you guys a how to mermaid braid edition! I definitely went over 3 minutes a little 😅 but hopefully this mermaid braid tutorial was descriptive enough! Essentially you want to break your hair into thirds - two large sections for the two normal braids and a thick strand of hair that is your longest length to weave the two together. Once you've braided the two large sections starting as high up as you can and braiding down as fair as you can then you want to fluff the braids out so that they look a little bigger and create a bigger mermaid or double braid! Then you're going to take that long strand of hair and using your fingers weave it through the braid loops going back and forth between the two braids. The tighter the better as this will make the braid look like one giant mermaid braid! This style also looks a lot like an easy four strand braid. I attempted an actual four strand braid once and it was super difficult so this is my "fake" four strand braid look a like lol! After you've done this style a few times - you really can complete this style in three to five minutes! Even with my longer hair I can finish this braid in under five minutes when I'm not trying to demonstrate what I'm doing. Thank you guys so much for watching my mermaid braid tutorial!
