Flappers are known for being the life of the party, and not giving a hoot, but what would a flapper makeup look like today?
In this new series, "#Throw Back Thursday, we're going to take a look at makeup trends of the past, give you a historically accurate makeup tutorial, and then give them a modern makeover. Why? Why not is the better question.
One thing about flappers you might already know is that they're known for their social rebellion. In the mid twenties, when Flappers became more mainstream, they were known to wear shorter dresses, and way more makeup than was the norm a few years prior. Before the Flapper girl became popular, makeup was to not be noticeable at all. In fact, only hookers and actors were allowed to wear makeup, but those weren't exactly jobs people would kill for at the time.
So what do you think of this Roaring twenties makeup tutorial? What do you think of the modern version? Would you try out either? Let me know in the comments below!
