Hello everyone! today's video is a shironuri KIMO KAWAII makeup tutorial. kimo kawaii (キモカワイイ) basically means both cute and gross/creepy in japanese, which i think describes my makeup style perfectly sometimes :3 for more information, please read below!

the wig in this video was kindly provided by UNIQSO. i received the LOLITA WIG 287G, which retails for $35.90.

this is a lovely wig and it fits my head quite well (i have a big head). however, when i received it i discovered that it did not look like the picture as shown on the website. the picture shows it has short, blunt bangs, but when i received my wig the bangs extended down past my chin. i was confused by it but uniqso told me it was supposed to look that way - people can then trim it to the desired length. i cut the bangs to match the picture but i don't think i did a good job at it (hair styling is not my strong suite lol). if you are interested in this specific wig, please keep this in mind. my thanks to uniqso for sending me this wig.

for this kimo kawaii makeup look i wanted to test out a new technique, which is based off bruising techniques used by SFX makeup artists using alcohol-based face paints. however i do not have alcohol-based face paints because they're very expensive. sadface. so instead i decided to see how it would look like if i used solely eyeshadows instead, giving it more of an artistic look. it created a very interesting, gritty effect which i quite like. i will need to experiment more with it in the future.

i did not plan this makeup look beforehand, instead just painting based on how i felt at the moment. i picked the colors because i wanted the makeup to like watercolor.

the splotches on my face that randomly appeared after shading in my nose were caused by dried eyelash glue which i then tried to cover up with eyeshadow lol. i made some fake tears using dried hot glue but when i put them on i realized it looked uh...something else that is incredibly non-PG so I took them off.
