It bothers me when I see people placing a precedence on which tragedy is more important than the other. That's not my intent for this video. I am frustrated that we can express an overwhelming but appropriate amount of love and compassion for one tragedy, but dismiss, turn our heads or think less of another. Paris needs our love; lets send it! Africa needs our love; lets send it! America needs our love; lets send it! The Middle East needs our love; lets send it! Send it ALL OVER THE WORLD!
Honestly, I didn't even know about the tragedy in Kenya (April 2015) until later on.The media, large corporations (Facebook, Youtube, Google), celebrities, etc. unfortunately dictate what deserves the attention and support; this is a large piece of the problem.
America is a country built on the genocide of one race, and the enslavement of another. Native Americans were forced from their land, while Africans were forced to be slaves. It's hard to image that we can repair something that was so wrong from the beginning of time.
Despite the history, America is my country. My family has lived here for decades. I voluntarily served my country as an Army leader. I'm not moving back to Africa as some love to tell me. You brought me here; I have claimed this land, and I will continue to fight for what I believe we are entitled to- treated as an equal human being, protected by the law, and cared for by the people who lead this country.

QUICK RECAP OF MY STORY:
Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2011; became a medically retired army veteran 2012. Due to unbearable pain, sadness and suffering, I dedicated my life to a HCLF plant based vegan lifestyle on 23 January 2015. I lost 9 pounds within the first 2 weeks for a total of 20 pounds lost within 1 month. I ate this way with little to no exercise and experience little to no pain. Since learning and experiencing this way of life, I have decided to eat what is right for me during this pregnancy. See more about my eating change here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU9ElqgU9Bk
