Hello beauties! ♡
I'm going to show you how to cook indian potato pakoray, these are so yummy, full of flavour and i know you will love them! It takes around 30mins to cook and 30mins for preparation but it is totally worth it!
What you need:
3 Medium potatoes pealed and sliced
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Tumeric 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala Powder 2tsp
Ajwain 2tsp
Water ( enough to mix the flour and spices together to create a medium/thick batter)
Gram Flour - 3mugs (you may need to add more if you feel as though it is not enough)
Please keep in mind, you need to taste this, to see if the spices are enough, if you need more, add more.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and slowly add the water. Making sure the batter is not too thick nor water like, it must stick to the potato.
Putting the oil on low whilst you are mixing everything together.
Once the oil is hot, making sure its not too hot, otherwise it will burn the batter. Drop batter in the oil to test if it is hot enough. If the batter sinks to the bottom, it is not done, if it sinks but rises i is ready.
Add the potato in the mixture to the oil and allow to cook for 25-30mins, you need to turn the over keeping an eye on them. Once they're golden brown, you can take them out. Making sure the potato is cooked inside.
