You will need:

1. A base coat
2. A top coat
3. Nude nail polish
4. Black striper/liner (or eyeliner would work too, if you are confident about it)

Other color options:

1. Light pink
2. Golden
3. Silver
4. White
5. All pastel shades

So I broke my nails guys :-( Yes I broke them bad! They are super short right now, and as much as I hate them, I decided to use this opportunity to make some very short nails tutorial to help those who have to live in a perpetual struggle with their nail lengths!

This is a very pretty and elegant look that would work on all age groups, and all nail lengths. The strokes are very simple and easy, and the design is prominent enough to stand out even on the tiny canvas of the tiniest of nails possible.

Important tips for this short nails design:

1. Make sure you take enough color on your brush, so that when you press down hard, you can get the thick lines. Do experiment on paper a bit if you are feeling a bit unsure of how this would work out. It is actually very easy, and hence you should get it right in just a few strokes.

2. Do not use an ordinary nail designing brush for this look, since this look can only be achieved with a liner bush that allows long strokes, which means that the lines will not be shaky and the pressure applied will create a neat difference in the thickness of the lines thus created.

3. Always seal with a top coat when you use a liner, since they have a way of standing out of the rest of the polish, and more often than not, they will just chip off easily and ruin the look completely. So make sure you apply at least two solid coats of top coat, so that your nail art for short nails remains safe!

Q. Can this design be done on long nails as well?

A: As jealous as I am of you right now, for having long nails unlike me - yes, You can do it on the longer nails as well. you guys can create pretty much any nail art that is out there. Lucky you!

Q: My stripes brush runs right off the line and then my while design is ruined. What should I do?

A: Practice baby practice! That's really the most annoying yet the only advice I can give you. Oh,. but you can try this.. instead of moving the brush, hold it steady and gradually pull back your nails. Lay the hand flat on a table, and this trick might help your short nails look pretty! YOu will still need to practice using that liner brush for a bit though, it seems weird in the first 3-4 tries, but after that it will be a piece of cake, I promise!

Q: I am a beginner and this scares me!
A: I did this design long time back once, and that was when I was in junior school myself. Seriously, not kidding about it. That was the time I came up with this look. I had used my eyeliner, but I had done it. So I am sure you can do it too.
