Obviously, I was very hurt and emotional in this video. Minutes after watching Nicole's video, I just had to reply. It triggered some things in me that I had to share. Some of you might say it probably triggered something because it's true. I would agree with you, but the that's my issue. I've always had weight issue, I'm not going to mention "my journey" because I'm not trying to get petty from that. What I'm trying to say here, is that there's a way to express yourself respectfully! Speak your mind adequately, honestly from the heart while thinking who it might impact. It's seems that now, everyone is trying to get attention/famous by being so inhuman, so arrogant and this is just NOT the way to do it.
I have to clear up that I do not HATE Nicole, I just highly dislike to way she decides to speak her mind and make an impact on the public. Yes I'm hurt now by what she said, luckily I'll get pass the ignorance. But it might not be the case for everyone else. I'm actually convinced that people who are dealing with body image might "drown" even more by her statements.
I know I have changes to make to be healthy and I blame no one else for my obesity. But I will make the changes on my own terms, on my own time. I believe in myself and I know I can be a better person not only internally, but also on the outside. Everyone has the strength to change, we just have to put our mind into it, focus and persevere.
With that said...
BE KIND, BE RESPECTFUL, SPEAK FROM THE HEART.
Love,
JF... the guy who's more than makeup, less than a diva... and probably just like your next door neighbour who goes through the pace of life.
