Welcome to the 10th edition in my Makeup in Mythology series, this time featuring Dökkálfar, better known as a dark elf.

When I initially decided to do this look all the way back in JANUARY, I wanted to make this as authentic as possible to its mythology. Unfortuantely, that proved to be an incredible pain because there really isn't much information on their appearance.

The only stuff I had to base this on was:

• They had pale, dull skin
• They were the opposite of elves
• They also wore a lot of armor

So instead, I had to figure out a way to make this as "anti-elf" as possible. I also wanted to make it different than other dark elf makeup looks.

So all the way back in January, I worked on creating armor. That continued into February. and March. And then I realized I really suck at making armor, so I scrapped that. So I had to figure out another way to do it.

Eventually I decided to keep it very simple but create finger armor instead.

Regal Rose also generously provided the choker and circlet in the video, which really helped pull this look together. These are really pretty, ornate items that really look good with fantasy looks such as this ^_^ I will link their website and direct links to the items in case you want to check it out!

From there, I just blasted some black metal because listening to that late at night puts me in a gat damn mood, and here you have the makeup. I am never using that glitter eyeliner from Tarina Tarantino ever again though, swear it...

Hope you all enjoy it and hopefully understand what I was doing here? Unfortuantely it was too loud around my apartment to record even a decent voiceover, grr.

Now I can't wait to do more mythology looks! There be some Korean mythology looks coming up oh yeah ^__^
