i quite like being able to paint how i feel or things i go through...on my face. ok. i think some people call this art therapy. well this is just me being me. today i decided to illustrate how insomnia makes me feel at its absolute worst.

since college there have been periods where i just can't sleep. my mind won't shut off, or something like that, or other times it's just really bad anxiety and i deal with it by staying up for days thinking that somehow staying awake will help. my own mom liked to tell me when i was baby i would never fall asleep at night. OLD HABITS DIE HARD EH

so when i'm usually up for days my eyes look really bloodshot like i'm drunk (i don't drink though, i hate alcohol). my skin is also really dry, i suddenly look 10 years older, and my mind gets a bit loopy. so i exaggerated this by making blood come out of my eye down to my chin, making my skin look very textured and bruised, and creating a makeup design that looked scary.

if i look creepy...good! yatta!

in other news, i'm working on doing a special shironuri series, portraying my favorite final fantasy characters. i thought about doing just my favorite video game characters but then i thought how in the heck would i do shironuri looks based off assassin's creed or uncharted? can you imagine a shironuri connor kenway or sully...that would be absolute butt poop. as opposed to any other poop
