Shea Moisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation in Chestnut is a light-to-medium coverage foundation. Shea Butter oils are the third ingredient in this foundation, so it has an ultra smooth texture. Since Shea Moisture is known for it’s handmade roots, the formula of this foundations makes it lightweight on your skin, and it has a natural, dewy finish. Seriously, it feels amazing when you apply it on the skin -- very much like a serum. It almost feels like it’s conditioning your skin.
You’ll like Shea Moisture Weightless Shea Serum Foundation if you like a natural looking foundation that has a light, comfortable finish. You’ll also like it if you have dry or normal skin and prefer to enhance, but not cover, your skin.
I was excited to try this foundation because I love the Shea Butter Lip Crayons and the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap. Although this foundation wasn’t the right choice for me based on undertone and preference (I like to be super matte!), I’m still open to trying Shea Moisture foundation formulas in the future.

We went to Bowery Poetry Club in the East Villiage neighborhood of Manhattan / NYC.
The poetry reading we saw were exerpts from The Negro Odssey, which debuted in June 2016 and performed by Cyrus Aaron & co. The reading was so in-demand that there was a second performance in July. Below is a description of the performance from the Bowery Poetry Club website:
Cyrus Aaron: The Negro Odssey
This Father's Day, Cyrus Aaron takes the stage with a modern twist of an epic poem. Inspired by the classic works of Homer, Aaron uses spoken word to survey the remnants of his own broken lineage while exploring the various storms crippling the Black family. The Negro Odyssey is the middle passage of a writer's journey to reconciliation-- A return home to "Black Joy."
