Hey guys.
So, I am a big fan of the Aubrey Honeysuckle Rose (HSR) conditioner. I was a lover of this product back when it was called Aubrey Organics!
Back when my hair was shorter, a bottle of HSR would last me at least a month (if not more), and this was with weekly deep conditioning.
But now, with the current length and thickness of my hair, this 1 bottle might last me 2 deep conditioning sessions. At this rate, it's only a matter of time before it takes 1 bottle to thoroughly coat all of my hair.
I love this conditioner and how it makes my hair feel but, at about $10 a bottle, I don't know if I can justify buying it weekly.
So, what to do? Well thanks to an awesome post on a hair forum, I stumbled across a great recipe to help me stretch this conditioner.
Let's get started with remixing this recipe.
You will need aloe vera juice, jojoba oil, raw honey, and of course, the honeysuckle rose conditioner.
Put a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of the conditioner into a bowl and add to it 3 tablespoons of jojoba oil.
Next, add in 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice.
Follow that with adding in 1 tablespoon of raw honey.
Mix everything together and you're done.
This is definitely a good way to get more use out of my original 1 cup of conditioner.
Now, apply to your hair and proceed with deep conditioning.
It never fails, whenever I use this mix, my hair always comes out feeling very soft and moisturized.
Now, you're ready to style your hair. I hope you found this video helpful. And don't think you're only limited to using this recipe with the honeysuckle rose conditioner. Try this out with some of your favorite conditioners.
Thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the next video!
