First, I purchased this with my own money. Shea Moisture is one of my favorite brands! Affordability, Diversity, Charity, they do it all and have it all. So just about every new product that they put out I hop on! This product was no different! I got this product this past summer and shared it with my instagram followers. I tried it out on freshly washed hair and the results weren't favorable. I then tried it out on dry hair (which I wet as I used), and the same thing. I've also used it with other stylers to see if that was the problem. Same results. So this time I tried it on dry hair and added moisture after. After watching the video, see how I felt below.

I've used this OVER 3 times alone, and maybe more if you count other stylers I've paired it with. So I've tried other methods as well. And let me say, in less than an hour my hair was a complete frizz ball just like every other time I've used this product (even with gel, and other stylers). It may be really good for protective styles that you do not plan on taking out until wash day. I on the other hand had to completely wash my hair out before it would hold a style without frizz even paired with other stylers, and gel. It just kept frizzing up. Styling it dry actually resulted in less frizz, but it still was a hot mess after an hour or so.

Questions: Why did I wet my hair AFTER applying the product?
Answer: So my hair wouldn't revert back, and because I felt this may help with the tangles and dryness I still felt after applying the detangler.

My hair isn't one "type". I have 4a through out the perimeter, 3b in the front and 3c through out the rest. Hope that helps
