ABOUT THIS MAKEUP LOOK↓
Hel, not surprisingly, is a being that rules Hel, or Helheim, in Norse mythology. Despite the name, it's not actually like the vision of Hell in Christianity; it's not the "bad" place you go if you sinned too greatly in your life, it's simply the place you go to once you die.
Descriptions of Hel range wide; earlier accounts say she's simply half black and half white, or half flesh-colored and half blue, but other descriptions say she's half human and half skeleton. I decided to go with the half human and half skeleton theme, but instead of making half of my face a skeleton, I decided to do it on the bottom half of my face. Thought it looked cooler this way ^_^

I got the idea from this from my Scorpio Zodiac makeup tutorial, which was a skeleton look covered in rhinestone. When I removed the rhinestones it looked like there was a skeleton jaw poking out from my skin which I thought looked really cool! Wanted to use the look for another makeup look, and Hel was perfect for it ^_^
I made chainmail for this look which took me forever to do but realized how dumb it looked once I put it on lol. I also attempted to make a background of skulls (which you can see behind me) but I never finished it. I had a lot of trouble trying to sew it together...I'll finish it someday -.-;
The NEXT Mythology look will be Selene, the Goddess of the Moon from Greek Mythology. This will be up in 2 weeks ^_^
As always, if you have any requests for future mythology look, let me know!
