My cat Treatie has been unwell for the last four years with a raised heartbeat and heart murmur as a result of hyperthyroidism and he was getting old. He has deteriorated in the last year with repeated infections. My only wish was that he would stay with me long enough to enjoy sitting under the skylight in the new living room, basking in the sun. That's exactly where he died however it was laying on the floor in my arms. I miss him like crazy. He chose his home with me when I was 22, he forced his way in and refused to budge until months later when his owner resigned him to me. He watched me fall in love, get married, watched my family grow and moved countless houses with me. He wasn't a 'pet' he was a great part of my life. He now lays resting in the flower bed where we can see his final resting place from our new family room. He will always be there where we are. Miss you Treatie :' (
