So after doing the Max Hydration Method, and then starting the Curly Girl method for a while I’ve figured out I actually love both. The biggest con to the Max Hydration Method is how many steps it takes, but the results are great. The biggest con to the Curly Girl method is all the labels you have to read to figure out what’s free of sulfates, silicones, and not as much moisture as the MHM method. So I decided to combine my two loves to “create” a new method the MCGM (Maximum Curly Girl Method). Which basically is just making sure you are using Curly Girl “approved” products and methods (no/minimal combing), and what I think is the most important part of the MHM which is the “Clay Rinse”.
