Now for a few important tips:

Q. I am a bit confused about the glue thing you did. can you explain?

A: Well basically that is just cuticle guard, you know. It helps peel off the polish from the cuticles, so no rubbing is needed later. You can buy an OPI one too, but that will be crazy expensive as compared to making your own glue one. Q: How did you get those stringy lines with the polish?

A: you dry the polish for a little while. Let it dry for about 30-40 seconds in air (depending on how fast your polish dried and how well it is spread). You can also twirl it around a bit, mix it a bit, etc.

Q: So can I use my old polishes instead?

A: Oh totally! You can in fact use it not just for the spun sugar nail designs tutorial part, but you can also use it for the part when you are applying polishes on the make up sponge.

Q: Does the sponge have to be moist for sure?

A: Not necessary. The moist saves nail polish wastage and helps spreading the color faster on the nails. So just a good option, but you can work without it too. Just make sure please that the sponge is not wet, just moist, if at all.

Q: I find gradient looks so annoying! Can I apply the polish in any other way for the base?

A: Okay first of all - Gradient is actually a lot of fun after a few tried. I have been through the annoying phase myself so I know!

Q: Do I absolutely have to use a top coat on the nails?

A: Not a compulsion. But a good option, if you wish to make the whole thing last longer, so I suggest you use it for that purpose.

Q: But I don't even need such colorful nail designs. What other color combinations can you suggest?

A: Use any two contrasting colors that you like. It is really as simple as that. As easy as that. Anything works with this look really!
