If you watched my videos, I’ve been over any hair style other than a wash and go. I literally hate my twist outs now, so in order to give myself a little hair joy I decided to color it. I went back and forth on using box color and professional developer (that’s a great tip to avoid your hair getting as dry). When I went into the beauty supply, the manager who is also a hairstylist helped me pick out a color that was similar to the box color I wanted. She also advised to use a less harsh developer and if all else failed I could use a really bright temporary color to add more jazz. Sorry for the video quality, I left my camera at work and ended up using my phone

Quick Tips:
1. If your hair is naturally curly/coily/kinky I advise a stretched/old twist/braid out. Some folks blow dry before but why do more damage than needed.
2. Apply the color to the ends first and then go back and do the roots. ( your roots will take the dye quicker than the ends)
3. A brush is going to be better than an applicator bottle especially if you are doing your ends first then your roots. Way more control
4. Be smart with the developer you use, if you don’t feel you got a dramatic enough look you can always recolor your hair and slowly lighten it.
Colors Used:
Brand- Satin Ultra Vivid Fashion Colors & Satin Developer 20 Volume
6RI, Intense Dark Auburn
5MV, Mahogany Violet Chestnut
Ratio:
1:1 of color ( I used 2 oz of each color and 8 oz or developer)
