I'm over the moon to share my latests vintage makeup haul! I'm just beginning my collection of makeup related antiques; For years I've been on the hunt for a Lady Head Vase and an affordable price and last weekend I snagged one for $25! She has no real damage just a slight wearing away of the gold paint- but that just shows character! I'm also a huge fan of beautiful makeup compacts and packaging so I picked up a Du Barry pearl powder compact, and several different styles of Tangee Red Red. When my mother in law found out about my budding collection she gifted me an AMAZING antique makeup and cigarette case. And finally I picked up a Samsonite Silhouette Makeup case to cart my beauty goods for our jaunts to here and there. I'm thinking I may even use it to hold my velcro rollers daily.

Thanks for watching, I truly am tickled pink to share this with you.

About buying vintage makeup and/or collection makeup in general:
Makeup certainly has a shelf life- and once it's past it's prime it's best to toss it out or depending on the sentimental or collectible value, retire it from your useable makeup, and display it in a glass case, on a vanity table etc... I'm not advocating mass makeup hoarding- but a collection of truly beautiful makeup packaging is I believe a worthy endeavor. Here I'm sharing some newly acquired vintage makeup, but you can also do this with a lot of beautifully packaged modern makeup as well.
