Not sure if it's the colors I chose or what, but for some reason I find that these eye pencils don't really apply as easily as I was anticipating. They kind of tugged at my lids & I had to keep layering the product on to get the opacity I wanted, and they are HORRIBLE to apply on after you've done your eyeshadow. I also didn't find the more "vibrant colors" very vibrant.. just mediocre, if not bright enough. The Jumbo Eye Pencils give way more color than these.
These are honestly, IMO, either a hit or miss for you. I personally love using the more darker/richer colors as a base when doing darker colors on the lids, and MILK for any vibrant color. That's pretty much all that I use these for, specifically the darker ones & the Milk one. I don't really find the other colors useful, bc you can pretty much achieve bolder pigmentation with just any other primer/base. That's just me though. I still love the ones I DO have
I own a few of these lip pencils & I absolutely adore them. The color coded tips are the exact color on your lips, which is awesome, and the formulas are pretty good too -- very smooth & applies easily. The ONLY thing I would I have to say about this product, is that I kinda wish they didn't have so many that were so similar to each other in shades... BUT I guess that could be a good thing if, for whatever reason, the one you were particularly looking for is out.. there's a dupe for it somewhere in that collection. Other than that, great product!
MEH.
I'm a little on the fence about this product. I purchased the Skin Tone one first just to test out NYX's shadow bases, and I've gotta say.... I was a bit disappointed. No doubt that it intensifies colors more & I didn't have a problem with any fading happening, but it DID crease. This could either be because I have naturally oily lids (but hello, that's what primers are for), OR it could be the fact that these bases don't finish into a nice powdery/dry consistency -- it stays pretty wet, like a concealer. I wanted to try the Pearl one too, but now I'm not so sure. If anybody has any tips or how you would use these bases, let me know! <3
FAVORITE GLOSSES
You seriously just can't go wrong with these glosses IMO. Low-end prices with high-end quality! I love how they're not sticky at all & they glide on very easily without being streaky. Nice, smooth formula & the cherry-scent reminds me of cherry Starburst candies :) I have noticed though (and idk if it's newer shades or something), but SOME of them have more a bubble-gum/minty scent/flavor? Like "Dolly Pink" has a strong strawberry/bubble-gum scent & their new one "Smokey Look" has the same scent, but it's got a minty effect on the lips. Nonetheless, I still love these glosses. And might I add, they've got GREAT pigmentation for glosses!! Especially the brighter/bolder shades.. almost lipstick-coverage, so I'm pretty impressed with that. I guess my only "con" about these, is that there's a good amount of these that have a shimmery finish, but I can deal with that (I'm just more of a creamy, milky finish). Here's my lip swatch wearing JUST "Dolly Pink" on my lips :)
JUST LIKE IT'S NAME
This perfume practically oozes 'romance'.. it's got a very romantic, sexy/elegant feel to it. I can't really put my finger on it, but it almost makes me think.. cologne for women? It's strong without being overwhelming at all (if that makes any sense), yet it's so alluring. I've found that two sprays is just enough! I've always gotten compliments from it, especially from men LOL that should say enough ;)
PERFECT SCENT
Ahhhh, I remember smelling this perfume from one of my girlfriends back in high school & was like "WHAT ARE YOU WEARING??" It smells SO good, part sweet & fruity and part sophisticated. I always wore this during the spring/summer cuz it kind of had that spring-y summer-y feel to it, ya know? I definitely miss this perfume
I absolutely love Russian Red! It's actually one of my fav colors, and I'm such a sucker for bright puckers (didnt mean for that to rhyme haha). Since it is a matte finish, it can be a bit drying, but you can expect that from any matte lipstick no matter the brand.. so good lip care & gloss is an easy fix. Overall, I think MAC lipsticks are definitely must-haves in your collection. Their color range is superb & no matter how light you go, you can still reach the perfect opacity. The vanilla-scent is also a plus ;)
But most of my top favs were all discontinued ;( Boo.
