So lately I been trying to contour my face, and its alright but I want to master it? Plus, I never knew what makeup brush to use for each concept, could you girls give me a rundown on this? The best type of brush for blending, etc.. Thanks!

I really don't have any skill when it comes to makeup, but for contouring on the cheekbones, I think it's best to use a blush brush, and gently brush your contouring makeup up and down face in a line, just underneath where your cheekbones are. Lol that's all I really know!

Look up 'contour' on Pinterest, there are a lot of good contour pictorials on there.

On a sidenote I just wanted to add that if your going to try a blush brush for contouring try a small one like Diggie mentioned above, if you use a large fluffy blush/powder brush it's going to cover too much area and all of that product applied to a large area is going to leave you looking dirty and muddy. You could possibly get away with it if the brush has more of a paddle shape to it, using just the end/tip of the brush, as long as your not blowing that contour out all over your face, hope I made sense.

Real techniques have a contour brush that comes in the core collection pack and works perfectly for me but I use powders! I've heard great things about the NARS ita brush and I'm pretty sure the benefit hoola bronzer comes with a similar brush!!

I've been wanting to contour too but mess up when its time to blend everything together.

The Nars Ita brush is amazing but kind of hard to get your hands on. It's easy for beginners to maneuver because it's so lightweight and the bristles are great for blending out. I've also used a pro contouring brush from Sephora that was super dense and shaped to fit the contours of your face, but it made everything too harsh and was hard to blend. The large fluffy angled brushes are good too, but I just like how precise the Nars brush is because it makes it easier to avoid that muddy look when blending out.
