What is the space like? What does the invitation say about dress code? Is it the first b'nei mitzvah of the season?

The invitation should say something about dress code, but if it doesn't I would go for a nice knee length dress. A little semiformal.

I highly recommend a short cocktail dress, they're easy to dance in and come in a variety of cute styles.

If you are going to the service, please cover your shoulders--- it's a sign of modesty and respect. Otherwise for the party takes cues from the invite.
