Or, curl your hair and run your fingers through it. Don't brush it though, it will make it frizzy.

This is what I usually do..
First curl you hair with a curling iron/ wand/ flat iron, whichever you like, and then run your finger through it. Flip your head over and shake it out with you fingers. If you want it really light you can brush it out (I usually don't) let it sit and continue brushing with your fingers until it's however you want it to look. Then hairspray it if you need to :)
