Hi girls! I just bought "Mane 'n Tail" shampoo and conditioner and I was wondering if any of you had tried it. And if you did, what do you think of it? How did your hair react?
Xoxo

Thanks girls! I spent 17€, so it better be great.. Ahaha I heard people saying it makes hair grow longer... Is it true? :|

Do not use mane n tail. it's not going to make your hair longer or healthy. it isn't ph balanced for human hair or scalp. it coats your hair with wax & weighs it down. so you think it's longer. your hair will end up dry & brittle. human hair is NOT the same as horse hair. unless you have a horse, throw it out.

If it is for horses and it isn't suitable for human hair, why did I find it in a HUMAN pharmacy?

There's stuff for pets & whatnot in drugstores too..? if you want more info contact kitty k. she is a moderator & has done a lot of research. she can explain better than I why it shouldn't be used.

It's not for human hair. Just because you found it in a pharmacy doesn't mean that it's okay to use it. Visit Kitty K's profile she's done all the research on it.

Kaf A is completely right on this subject. A lot of people use it and have good luck with it until the long run because it damages ha.

Here's the direct quote from Kitty's blog for you guys!
"Mane n' tail shampoo/conditioner is not PH balanced for human hair or scalp, over time it begins to dry out your hair and make it brittle (scientifically, and speaking from personal experience with this one.) The reason people claim Mane n' tail makes your hair grow is because of the heavy amount of wax in it. The wax present in Mane N' tail simply weighs down your hair and this wax can actually cause flakes. The wax in Mane n' tail is the reason for dullness, and dryness that it can cause. The wax builds up on your hair and overtime causes that side effect. In other words, Mane n Tail is as effective as lard. "

Yup. For the Mane and the Tail of a horse. There's even a picture of horses on the bottle.

There are horses but it doesn't say it is for them. Also it says "for dry and damaged hair". And it was in a pharmacy, beside garnier and stuff like that. 😨

I bought it and I loved it! I noticed atleast 2 inch growth in like a month and my hair never grows! I heard it makes your hair dry so every 2nd or 3rd Walsh I'd use a different shampoo and a hair mask once a week! Seriously I'm hooked on it! It's worth the money, promise!

Hey Kayley :)
Thanks for the answer. I think every person has different reactions to every kind of product, so I'll just wait and see what happens! I used it today for the first time and I love my hair. I keep smelling it hahaha so hopefully they won't get worse than they already are! I just checked the main 'n tail website.. They say it won't cause any problems.. Will we trust them?? Find out in the next episode of Kelly in "Hair problems!!" 😂
