I'd wait 6 weeks before changing it, just to be safe. Piercers usually say 4 weeks but I've always found that's too early to be taking them out and changing them constantly. And as for the running nose feeling, I have no idea sorry, I never got this when I got my septum done.

My nose ran for a few weeks after I got mine pierced. I wouldn't change it out for at least 6 weeks bc you want it to heal and if you take it out early it could be very painful to put back in. make sure your cleaning it too bc its easy to get infected bc of mucus.
