What to wear after a Funeral *HELP*

Okay so saturday I'm going to a funeral and the day after (sunday) I'm going to church..I don't know if I can wear bright colors,since we're in spring, but is it not respectful? I really need to know about this! Thank you ladies :)

When my aunt died I knew she wouldn't want me wearing black so I wore a nice colorful dress. And when my friend passed away she was 14 I wore a bring orange shirt from the gap.

I know whatcha mean, but for funerals you have to be very monotone about it. Stick with black. Or dark colours.

I agree that black and white is a timeless and respectful way to mourn...especially in warmer months. That said...

Purple has historically been the shade used to transition from black when mourning. During the Medieval period and even in some modern-day cultures, White was/is used to express great mourning. It signified/signifies purity and rebirth. Greys, too, are used when paying respects and are traditionally the color of Pallbearers gloves. A soft Grey (Heather Grey) and White is respectful, yet light.

Easter is a time of celebration. If you do not feel comfortable wearing all white on Easter, Purple has long signified royalty..even within the church...and is a timeless way to observe both a birth into eternity and Christ's resurrection. (This is why many churches often drape purple over a wooden cross. It is symbolic of Christ's robe and in keeping with "Christ is King.") The Purple should be one that is deep and jewel-toned. It pairs well with white. I suggest keeping the fabric matte if you choose purple.
