Would you rather splurge on eyeshadow or eyeshadow primer? Any recommendations?

Primer. I really like urban decays Eden because since my skin is fairly dark a lot of eyeshadows don't show up. Since it's a tan matte color it works really good as a base color. :)

Hmmm well I splurge on just about any makeup products! Lol but as far as primers go I love Urban Decay Primer Potion (Sin), Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Lorac (I'm not big on their eyeshadows though...), and Milani holds up really well next to those high end primers. I have also heard good things about Wet N Wild's Primer (they have amazing eyeshadows), but I haven't tried it yet. A lot of people use Elf's Eyeshadow Primer but I hateeee it, it just doesn't work, but then again it is only a $1. As far as eyeshadows go I guess I do splurge more but thats just because I have always had better luck with higher end than drugstore shadows. My favorites are Urban Decay, Too Faced, Smashbox, Kat Von D, Wet N Wild, Stila, Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Shadows and I like their loose pigments too, Physician's Formula is also good too.

An eyeshadow primer because if you splurge on eyeshadow it doesn't really matter if it doesn't stay.
