I'm starting nursing school next week, and it's going to just a 180 from what Ima used to. Far as clothes, hair, jewelry & nails wise. We have to have our hair in a ponytail or pinned back, short nails with no "crazy" colors😬 & of course, our scrub uniforms.

So what's some ideas for school? I was thinking french braids & start getting gel on my nails. But what's some of you ladies suggestions?

Most school prefer you don't have fake nails but I don't know your exact rules. Most people just wore basic buns and ponytails. Looking cute is the least of your worries lol do you mean for like an LPN or RN or like a CNA?

Hey CONGRAGULATIONS with nursing school! I'm in nursing shook and it's no picnic! I agree with nala sometimes looking cute is not a main focus! For clinicals I like to look awake so I'll pull my hair up in a pony and do a neutral makeup.

This is my makeup I did for my job as a nurses aide! When you have an early morning clinical you will be lucky to put this much makeup on.

Different schools will have different regulation but most hospitals do not like nails! Fake nails harvest bacteria! Nails should be a neutral pale pink or French manicure style and if they are painted nail polish can't be chipped because not only can that harvest bacteria but it is unsanitary!

Yeah. When I said short nails I was meaning my reg nails. With gel polish, so they won't chip.
& I get "looking cute" won't be my focus. But that is just me, I like to look nice & be presentable, wherever I go.

& thanks Jenna!!
