Hi girls, I have a really big problem..I have some nasty dark circles aroud my eyes and I can't get rid of them (genetics) and I don't know how to cover them properly. I use a Very light concealer but they're still visible and I have to use a lot of it, which dries my skin very much. some recommendations? Maybe a tutorial? help!! ty.

I was just watching tutorials on this and their advice is all over the place and they seem to contradict each other. It's maddening!

Try the Olay Fresh Effects Eye Awakening Cream Tri-Roller! It works wonders for me!

Which concealer are you using? I have really dark circles and nothing has worked better for me than the MAC prolongwear concealer!

It honestly depends on your skin type, the type of makeup you're using, and the overall look you want in the end.
I would HIGHLY recommend moisturizing your eyes. Before bed and before you put on your makeup. Although, hopefully you were already doing that. Then you have to decide the look you're going for. A lot of people like to do that whole highlighting under the eyes thing, but most of them do it wrong and end up making it SUPER obvious they are trying to cover them up(And I often laugh behind their backs because they have gone from dark circles to bright white circles.) So if you decide you want to highlight, which I recommend you do (It seriously helps hide dark circles and especially bags), practice before going out into the world with it on. You will need a concealer of a thinner consistency so it's more spreadable and honestly there is no 'correct' way to put on concealer under your eyes, so long as you aren't leaving giant puddles of concealer under your eyes.
After you get all your liquid make up on DO NOT FORGET to powder. If you leave it it will be shiny and reflect light, bringing back the attention to your under eyes. I would not recommend using anything matte because I find those tend to be very drying to the under eye and then it just looks odd, but maybe there is some magical product out there that is matte and looks great, and that would be your own choice if you wanna use it. :)
I know it sounds sort of vague, but honestly there isn't really much too it other than PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Oh, and check your makeup in different lighting. I find that sometimes I think I covered my circles perfectly and then I walk in another room with better lighting and realize I made it to bright, or I had a weird indent where I rubbed my eye accidentally.
