I've heard different opinions on whether or not shaving makes your hair grow back darker and thicker. Is this a myth or a fact? thanks ladies!

Myth. When it grows back it seems like that because it's been cut and stubble is growing back. Your hair isn't going to get darker from shaving.

It's a myth shaving cannot make your hair darker

Myth. You just see the contrast between our skin with hair and skin without, so it APPEARS darker.

I agree with Megan. Before I started shaving my leg hair , they were blonde then they turned black. I usually never shave my thighs (laziness) and they stayed blonde.

Myth. All the hairs don't grow at the exact same time. So when you shave it kind of makes the growth look more in sync and then the hairs are cut, blunt and appear darker.

I'm not too sure. I've been shaving for 7 or 8 years and my hair is still blonde everywhere (well not everywhere.. but anyway). Maybe its different for everyone because I've never experienced my hair going darker after shaving..

I'm with megan too... it got thicker for me but I think it really depends on the person. my hair got thicker and started growing super fast on my legs thighs and armpits. but not everyone is like that. for example my sisters hair growth didnt change... and were armenian (hairy)!! lollll.

If you wax they go blonder and thinner, I wax my legs and underarm. When I wax my legs they can grown long and you can't c them because they're so thin and light. Also you might think it's painful but if you keep doing it, it won't b so bad. I use sugaring, I make my own mix at home plus it lasts for ages and it's cheap 😊
