Her cut doesn't look any different than what you have now. Besides the face framing/chin length layer she has, which on her honestly just looks like she grew her bangs out. Is that what you want? A chin length layer? Do you want a few more along the side as well?
I'm not trying to rain on your parade but more get at what you like about the pic. Is it how her hair is styled? Her hair haas been bleached, a lot, so it's roughed up. It lays differently than smoother hair like yours.
If it's her hair style you're after that can be achieved. A thickening spray like Bumble&Bumble's when damp, before blow drying will help. Blow dry, flat iron, and then I would use a creamy paste Rusk's Being Wild to make it thicker and piecy-er.
